Animal Kingdom
Disney's Animal Kingdom offers a plethora of attractions, entertainment and more. From thrilling rides to outstanding restaurants and bars, you’ll enjoy an action packed day in awe. One thing to do is check out the Pandora (Avatar) attraction which spans 12 acres and pulls you in the world of Avatar. Floating mountains, alien wildlife and bioluminescent plants. Na’vi River Journey is where you can take a canoe trip through spectacular bioluminescent plants and wildlife found along the Kasvapan River. Escape into another world and enjoy the moment. At the end of the day you can catch a happy hour at one of their world class restaurants, two of which offer spectacular rooftop dining.
Directions: Take the ramp on the left and follow signs for Florida’s Tpke N / Florida’s Tpke S, at exit 251 head right on the ramp for FL-417 North toward Orlando Int’l Airport/Sanford. Take exit 3 and head right on the ramp for Osceola Pkwy toward Animal Kingdom, turn right then keep straight to get onto Osceola Pkwy, keep right and follow signs until you arrive at Animal Kingdom.
Arabian Nights
This venue features delicious Arabian Cuisine, live music, dancers and an authentic hookah lounge. Their menu features items like hummus and pita bread, baba ghanouj, tabbouleh, fried kibbeh, falafels and delicacies like kafta nayeh and kibbeh nayeh. Try something new from another part of the world. During this dinner theatre experience you will be a guest of a royal Arabian wedding, as the prince and princess prepare for marriage and an epic battle takes place between good and evil. The stars in the show are actually horses and this venue is the largest permanent indoor equestrian arena in the world. Enjoy your night with lovers and friends as you enjoy popular Mediterranean dishes and watch tantalizing belly dancing shows and more!
Directions: Head east on Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, turn left and take the ramp on the left, follow signs for Florida’s Tpke N / Florida’s Tpke S. At exit 254 head right on the ramp for FL-528 towards Orange Blossom Trail , keep straight to get on the ramp and merge onto US-17 S / S Orange Blossom Trail. Once you reach 528, take exit 1 following signs for International Dr., make a left on International Dr and bear right until you reach Westwood Blvd.
Epcot Center
The magic world of Epcot by Disney awaits you and there is plenty to do even if you don’t have kids. Epcot is home to the World Showcase and consists of 11 areas that represent countries from around the world including: UK, France, Japan, Morocco, Canada, United States, China, Italy, Germany, Mexico and Norway. At each destination you can find dining, drinks and attractions relating to each country. Enjoy a day “drinking around the world”, before heading back to play at Secrets Hideaway Resort!
Directions: Head east on E Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, turn left to take the ramp on the left for Florida Tpke. At exit 251, head right on the ramp for DL-417 N toward Orlando Int’l Airport. At exit 6 head right on the ramp for FL-536 toward Downtown Disney / Epcot, turn right on World Center Dr. and follow signs to reach Epcot.
Fun Spot Attractions
Fun Spot America has two convenient locations, one in Orlando (5700 Fun Spot Way, Orlando, FL 32819 and another in Kissimmee (2850 Florida Plaza Blvd, Kissimmee FL 34746). Both locations are action packed with thrill for you to enjoy and both are packed with classic fair-style rides, arcades and more. You can have a nostalgic night while enjoying bumper cars, ferris wheels and more. Try out the Sky Coaster, the second tallest in the world at 250 feet, you can experience what it feels like to fly! With many rides for thrill seekers, you won't be disappointed spending your time at Fun Spot, before heading back to Secrets Hideaway.
Directions to Orlando Location: Head left on E Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy and take the ramp on the left, follow signs for Florida’s Tpke. At exit 259, head right on the ramp for I-4 toward Orlando/Tampa. Stay on the Florida Tpke, at exit 75B-A and head right on the ramp for FL-435 toward International Dr., turn left onto Grand National Dr., right onto Del Verde way and follow signs until you reach Fun Spot.
Directions to Kissimmee Location: Head left on E Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy and take the ramp on the left, follow signs for Florida’s Tpke. At exit 251, head right on the ramp for FL-417 North toward Orlando Int’l Airport/Sanford. At exit 6, turn right onto International Dr. N. Turn left onto Daryl Carter Pkwy, turn right onto S Apopka Vineland Rd / County Hwy - 435. Turn right onto Buenavista Woods Blvd, left on Emerald Woods Ave, right on Forest Run until you reach your destination.
Gatorland
Just 15 minutes away from our resort and spa, known as the Alligator Capital of the World, home to 130 plus alligators, from babies to adults reaching 14 ft in length. and the largest collection of extremely rare leucitic alligators (which are a white/cream color and typically blue eyes)! There are multiple zipline attractions, totaling 1200 feet of zipline to fly across. On the “Screaming Gator Zipline” you can soar over the gator breeding marsh. The ziplines also feature multi-level launchpads so you can experience breathtaking views, while reaching speeds of up to 30 MPH. You can watch shows, hand-feed gators, go on a tour on a 15 foot tall monster truck specifically designed for Gatorland and named after some of the parks alligator legends, the par also features a variety of other exotic wildlife like wild cats, snakes, birds, tortoises and more!
Directions: Head NW on E Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy and turn right onto N Michigan Ave turn left onto E Carroll St., right on Old Dixie Hwy and then a left on E Osceola Pkwy then turn right N Orange Blossom Trail about a mile down the road on the right you’ll see Gatorland.
Hollywood Studios
If you’re a Star Wars fan, you’ll definitely want to check out the “Star Wars: Galaxy Edge” experience at Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida. Another popular attraction is the Rock n’ Roll Coaster Starring Aerosmith, ride options are endless.
Directions: Head northwest on E Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy and make a U-turn, and take the ramp on the left, follow signs for Florida’s Tpke. At exit 251, head right on the ramp for FL-417 toward Orlando Int’l Airport/Sanford at exit 6, head right on the ramp for FL-536 toward Downtown Disney / Epcot, continue until you reach World Center Dr and keep straight to get onto Epcot Center Dr follow remaining sign to arrive at Hollywood Studios.
Magic Kingdom
Rides, experiences and more! If you’re looking for the park that has the iconic castle, which is Cinderella’s Castle, it can be found at Magic Kingdom.
Directions: Take Heritage Key Blvd and US-192 E/US-441 S to Florida Turnpike. Continue on Florida Tpke. Take DL-417, take exit 3 and turn right onto W Osceola Pkwy (Follow Signs for Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios/Animal Kingdom).
Medieval Times
At Medieval Times you can travel back in time and take a peek into the lives of knights during the medieval times. The entertainment is based on authentic Medieval history and reflects a genuine and true story of a noble family with documentation dating back to the 11th Century. The experience includes a Hall of Arms which features elaborate Medieval Decor, weaponry and an area with replicas of torture instruments used during the Middle Ages. During your four-course dinner meal you will witness a skillful equestrian show and medieval pageantry, javelin throws, sword fights and much more!
Directions: Head SE toward US-192 W/US-441 N, turn right towards US-192 W/US-441 N, continue straight until you pass IHOP on the right, follow signs which will have you take 2 lefts and you reach Vine St., and enjoy your medieval dinner show.
Ripley's Believe It or Not
This venue is a museum which features various exhibits from the world of science, illusions, photos, wax figures, rare artifacts and more!

Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
Out of the 2 Disney Water Parks available in the area, Typhoon Lagoon is the winner for most adult oriented. Featuring 11 main attractions over 56 acres. Be sure to check out the Miss Adventure Falls ride and the Crush N Gusher. Typhoon Lagoon’s signature thrill is a set of 3 side-by-side body slides, you can expect to fly down 214 feet to the bottom and reach speeds of 39 mph (which feels a lot faster than you may think). This park also features a 2000 foot long lazy river that peacefully floats and bobs you by rain forests and misty waterfalls, the wave pool is one of the largest in the world and has wave swells reaching up to six feet!
Directions: Head northwest on E Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy and make a U-turn, turn left to take the Florida’s Tpke S ramp, keep left. Merge onto FL-417 S and take exit 251 toward Orlando/Int’l Airport/Sanford. Take FL-536/World Center Dr exit 6 towards FL-535/I-4/Downtown Disney/Epcot. Keep straight then take FL-535 N ramp toward I-4 E (slight right). Make a left turn onto Hotel Plaza Blvd. Keep straight and Typhoon Lagoon will be on the left hand side after approximately 1 mile.

Cocoa Beach, Florida
Cocoa Beach, Florida is famous across the country and its reputation precedes the beloved and fun-loving city. It’s known for its rich surf history and atmosphere that caters to vacationers and couples looking to enjoy the sea and the sun all while exploring attractions or having a romantic getaway. From tap rooms and festivals which feature live music to kayak, airboat and dolphin sighting tours, you’re in for a fun filled time. The Cocoa Beach Pier is a great attraction, it stretches 800 feet over the Atlantic Ocean and is perfect if you are looking to do some fishing and enjoy the Florida lifestyle.
Directions: Take FL-417 North heading towards Orlando/Sanford. At exit 26 take right on the ramp for FL-528 / Beachline Expwy and keep straight to get onto FL-A1A E/Bennett Causeway E.
Daytona Beach, Florida
Daytona Beach, Florida has a long list of attractions to keep you entertained and busy. So, in case you didn’t know: Daytona is the World Center of Racing - you can even race around the Daytona International Speedway utilizing the NASCAR Racing Experience. Daytona is the festival capital of Florida and is home to the Ponce Inlet and the Daytona Beach Boardwalk and Pier. You can spend the day soaking up the sun, take a drive on the beach and finish up the outing eating world-class fresh seafood. Other available activities include Speedway Indoor Karting, ziplining, speed boating excursions and more.
Directions: Look for signs for Florida’s Tpke N / Florida’s Tpke S and take the ramp on the left. At Exit 259, head right on the ramp towards I-4 towards Orlando/Tampa. Once merged onto I-4 E the road name changes to FL-400, follow signs until you come to US-1 N/FL-5/ Ridgewood Ave - if you’re heading directly towards the beach, you’ll be just a few minutes away.
Melbourne, Florida
Melbourne or rather Melbourne Beach, Florida has approximately 45 miles of coastline that stretches from Cape Canaveral down to the Sebastian Inlet. Melbourne Beach is separated from the mainland of Melbourne by the Indian River Lagoon which is one of the most bio-diverse estuaries in the Northern Hemisphere and is home to a whopping 4,300 species of plants and animals. You have a plethora of fishing charters to choose from, paddle boarding lessons, surfing lessons and more. If you’re looking to check out things on the mainland, there's the Brevard Zoo, which sits on 75 acres and is home to 900 animals and counting! There are historic downtown villages, pubs, restaurants and more!
Directions: Head northwest on US-192 W/ US-441 N/ E Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, make a U-turn and head East on US-192. Keep straight until you hit FL-A1A where you will want to take a right turn. If you turn left to stay on FL-A1A you’re right along the beach, pick your destination and have fun!
Ocala, Florida
Ocala, Florida which is located in Marion County, Florida is a beautiful scenic hidden treasure of a destination. The Ocala National Forest is home to Juniper Springs, Salt Springs, Silver Glen Springs and Alexander Springs. You can enjoy swimming in crystal clear water and snorkeling to see the small and large crevices in the Earth that the water flows through. It’s quite the site to see! After a day of snorkeling in the springs you can enjoy the Ocala nightlife, restaurants, bars and clubs are plentiful.
Directions: Make a U-turn to head east US-192 and floor sign to take a left to get on Florida’s Tpke. Bear right onto I-75 N, once you’ve reached exit 352 head right on the ramp for FL-40 towards Ocala / Silver Springs. Turn right onto FL-40 until you reach US-441 where you will make a left, you’ll then reach NW 3rd St. and can head to the destination of your choice.
Orlando International Airport (OIA)
The Orlando International Airport is massive and features a food court, admiral club, shops, bars, spas and more. We all know that ‘lay-overs’ can happen occasionally, unfortunately. However, that doesn't mean that your time in the airport has to be spent with you being unoccupied and bored.
Directions: Head NW on US-192 W/E Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, turn right on County HWY-530 followed by a left on Simpson Rd to stay on County HWY-530. Next, you’ll want to turn left on FL-527A and keep left to get onto Jeff Fuqua Blvd. Keep straight and follow signs for the airport, terminals, etc.
Port St Lucie, Florida
If you’re looking to get in touch with nature by embarking on hikes and trail walking through a variety of parks and preserves, then Port St. Lucie could be the option for you. Let's talk about Savannas Preserve State Park briefly, this park stretches nearly 7,000 acres of natural area. It contains the most ecologically intact, largest span of freshwater marsh in Southeast Florida! Another scenic nature option is the Port St. Lucie Botanical Garden, which features a variety of gardens specific to types of plants and animal species throughout. A few of the gardens you can visit include Bromeliad Island Garden, Bamboo Garden, Cactus & Succulent Garden, Butterfly Garden, Native Plants Garden, Hibiscus Garden, Palm Walk Garden, Orchid Room Garden, Rose Garden and a special ‘Secret’ Garden.
Directions: Make a U-turn to head East US-192 to get on Florida’s Turnpike. Merge onto FL-91 S and take exit 142, head right on the ramp for SW Bayshore Blvd toward Port St. Lucie.
Sanford, Florida
Sanford, Florida is a great place to visit on your trip to Florida, the city is conveniently located approximately halfway between the beaches and the theme park attractions in Orlando, Florida. Sanford lies on the south shore of the St. Johns River. It’s home to the Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens which sits on 750 acres of land. There is a wide variety of bars and clubs to entertain you in Sanford, FL., so if you’re ready to party the night away before returning back to Secrets Hideaway Resort - this city is worth the drive.
Directions: Head NW on E Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, make a right on County HWy-530 then a left onto FL-527A. Take the ramp on the right for FL-417, just follow this toll road until you reach exit 50 and head right towards US-17/ US-92 towards Auto Train/Sanford.
Tampa Florida
Tampa, Florida is the 3rd biggest city in the state and has just about any activity you can think of and its home to the longest cable-stayed bridge of the entire world, the Sunshine Skyway Bridge which is just over 4 miles long. During the day in Tampa, Florida you can enjoy Busch Gardens, Adventure Island, Lowry Park Zoo with 2000 animals and counting, the Florida Aquarium with more than 20,000 marine life inhabitants, the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) and a planetarium, museum of art and Tampa Bay History Center and more. It's also home to the famous historic Ybor City rich in Cuban, Spanish and Italian influences, it was once the hub of the cigar industry.
Directions: Get onto the Florida Turnpike and take the ramp on the left, at exit 251 head right on the ramp for FL-417 toward Orlando Int’l Airport. Take the ramp for I-4 W, at exit 2 head left on the ramp for FL-618 W toward the Port of Tampa and get off at exit 8 to proceed to your destination.
Vero Beach, Florida
If you’re looking for a quaint yet classy getaway while on vacation partying it up at Secrets Hideaway Resort and Spa, Vero may be the location for you to venture to depending on what you are looking for. It’s a classic southern city with elegance, from fine arts galleries and theatre to cinema and opera - all the finer things can be found in Vero Beach, Florida. Fun Fact: Impressively, The Vero Beach Museum of Art (VBMA) is the largest art museum in the nation created by private funds: it contains high-quality curated exhibits, film screenings, painting and sculpture collections, art classes and a library.
Directions: Follow signs for Florida’s Tpke N / Florida Tpke S, take the ramp on the left and merge onto FL-91 S/ Florida’s Tpke. Take exit 193 and head right on the ramp for FL-60 toward Vero Beach. Navigate to your destination whether it be the serene beaches or other venues in the area and enjoy.
